About Shimmie (Shimon)
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and School Psychologist with over 15 years of experience helping children, teens, and young adults (ages 9–21) navigate emotional, behavioral, and school-related challenges. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, anger issues, learning disorders, and school refusal, and have a subspecialty in working with individuals on the autism spectrum (ASD). My approach is collaborative and grounded in CBT. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions and accept many insurance plans. My work has spanned both clinical & school settings, giving me a deep understanding of the emotional, behavioral, & academic challenges that many young people face today. I specialize in school-related issues—including school refusal, behavioral challenges, ADHD, learning disorders, and academic stress.
