I am a triple-board-certified Adult, Child and Adolescent and Addiction psychiatrist.
I completed my residency training in adult and child psychiatry at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. I also completed a two-year research and clinical fellowship in Addiction Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
I received my medical degree from the University of New England. I chose an osteopathic (DO) course of training due to its emphasis on preventative health and wellness. Treating the individual as a whole by taking into account physical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects is fundamental in his course of training and in his practice of medicine. I have previously been on the board of directors of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, assistant clinical professor at the University of California San Francisco and have worked at San Francisco General Hospital, the San Francisco VA medical center and Kaiser Permanente
