Andrew was knowledgeable, professional and easy to talk to. He listened well and was patient when I was experiencing technical difficulties during our visit. He's honestly more proactive than my in-person primary care doctor has been. I 100% recommend him as a service provider!

About Andrew
My name is Andrew Holden, and I’m a committed NP and Primary Care Provider serving patients across the United States. A graduate of Emory University and the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania, I received advanced training in pathophysiology and pharmacology, and as a board certified member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, I practice high level evidence-based care. I believe each individual has unique needs that guide their healthcare and that modern and advanced treatments should be available and accessible outside of a specialist's office. My main interests include endocrine and metabolic concerns, cardiovascular health, sleep disorders, mental health, allergies and immunology, mens/women’s health, and chronic conditions more broadly.

*Please note that I do not prescribe schedule II controlled substances such as Adderall, Ritalin, and Vyvanse.
*I can not prescribe any controlled substances outside of the state of Oregon such Phentermine, Qsemia, Testosterone

Treatment philosophy & approaches
Too often, chronic conditions mean settling for outdated medications and dismissive care. Many patients are stuck with older generics that have been surpassed by better options. Conditions impacting quality of life get brushed aside as 'cosmetic' or 'aging.' I believe you deserve better. I take an evidence-based, pharmacologically sophisticated approach that maximizes benefits and reduces side effects. I'm comfortable prescribing newer treatments many PCPs don't consider for common conditions such as diabetes, blood pressure, migraine, constipation, allergies, dermatitis, asthma, cholesterol, insomnia, and sleep apnea. In mental health, I reject blanket approaches, using neurobiologically targeted meds based on your exact symptoms for fast-acting, well-tolerated, personalized treatments.
Medications prescribed
I don't prescribe the following medications
Adderall (amphetamine mixed salts)
hydrocodone
Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)
oxycodone
Ritalin (methylphenidate)
"Benzodiazepines" more than 2 days a month
"Z-drugs more than 5 days a month"
opiates
