Hello! My name is Alex and I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have had a passion for mental health and psychology since childhood. Starting around 8th grade I would check out books on psychology and neurology from the library and have enjoyed it ever since. I like learning people, and, how to help them.
I have been a nurse since 2012, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2017. I am a lifelong learner. Psychiatry conferences are fun for me. I be sure to attend one if not two per year. At times they will be specialized, such as focused on trauma or psychedelics, and other times generalized such as the Massachusetts General Hospital conference, to ensure I am staying up to date on all psychiatry topics.
