Dr. Nia Spicer-Thomas, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 10 years of health care experience. At the age of 16, I was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was plagued with debilitating fatigue, pain, weight gain and inflammation. There were limited treatment options for this relatively new disease which led me to seek natural and alternative options. In addition to my "fibromyalgia", in 2016 I began suffering from chronic Bacterial Vaginosis (BV), Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) and yeast infections. For 3 years, I was stuck in what seemed like an endless cycle. It was an extremely frustrating time that affected my confidence and I struggled with depression and weight gain. I tried every remedy I could find, but when nothing worked, I decided to dig deeper into my health.
