I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in mood disorders and metabolic health. I earned my medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. For the past seven years, I've served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, caring for high-performing individuals who carry enormous responsibility and rarely have the luxury of slowing down — experiences that now shape how I founded Bailey Psychiatry.
My patients are often professionals — people who are used to solving problems and leading with competence, but who've hit a wall that willpower alone can't fix.
I take an evidence-based, whole-person and body approach to care, combining thoughtful medication management with real conversation about what's actually going on in your life, whether that's your mental health, your relationship with food, or both.
